Facebook and Instagram are our favorites and without a doubt deliver the highest returns on most our campaigns. Snapchat can be great as well for anything in the fashion or women’s related spaces. YouTube video ads can also be a reliable way to build a pre-launch email list, we have found this works best with products that have a mass or mainstream appeal (not niche).

5. Long Term

Many crowdfunding campaigns have a need for long term marketing as soon as their campaign ends. Post-Campaign phase is a great time to think about customer acquisition moving forward. Indiegogo Indemand (different from Indiegogo) is a popular way to keep accepting pre-orders for your crowdfunding (or kickstarter) campaign long after your crowdfunding campaign has run out of time. Best of all, Indiegogo Indemand allows you to show your initial funding amount as the same amount you closed with on Kickstarter, it’s a nice cross-platform integration. There are several other preorder platforms for post-crowdfunding stage, and we have seen several companies doing it on their own sites as well.
